Dr. Ana-Gabriela Benghiac has been practicing dentistry since 2010, when she received her D.M.D. degree from Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iasi, Romania. Subsequently, she completed several other postgraduate programs from the same institution such as a Ph.D. in radiology, an M.Sc.D. in restorative dentistry and she also specialized in dentoalveolar surgery at St. Spiridon Hospital in her home country.
Prior to immigrating to the USA, she worked in private practice, taught at her alma mater while also maintaining a part-time hospital affiliation as an emergency dentist within the ER Department of the St. Spiridon Hospital in Iasi.
Dr. Benghiac also graduated with a D.M.D. degree from Boston University, Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. While in this program she was involved in clinical practice, research, teaching, and other scholarly activities and was awarded the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award, the Academy of Osseointegration Award for Dental Implantology, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Award. Dr. Benghiac was the recipient of the 2021 International College of Dentists and Washington University Dental Alumni Association scholarship and a fellow of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA ADCFP) and of the 2020 First District Leadership Academy of the Massachusetts Dental Society. She completed externships in oral surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in NYC, at Nassau Medical Center in East Meadow, NY and at Boston Medical Center. Since graduation, she has been practicing as a general dentist in MA.
Dr. Benghiac speaks English, Romanian, French, and Spanish.
She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, learning new skills, traveling and the French culture.
